In this book of poetry you will learn of the trials and thought processes of a person living and functioning with both OCD and limerence. What awaits the reader is a dark embrace of both hope and hopelessness, stories of loss and love, and the inner musings of what it means to attach your worth to another human being.
The following poems began as a personal means to express the dark thoughts of love and attachment that tore through my life for several years. These writings are more often than not unglamorous and brooding; an attempt at communication to express the very overwhelming feelings and inability to care for myself that I had been struggling with for so very long.
I could not have possessed the fortitude to express myself so thoroughly and deeply without the support of my small group of friends and family. They ever encouraged me to write down and accept my feelings, fight through the confusion and discern the struggle between my heart and my head.
Dedicated most of all to Tony; my rock, my compass, the other half of me.
